Crepe
It is a fabric with a distinctively crisp, crimped appearance. It is so common for the designers as well as the consumers to look out for fabrics that are rich in texture and give a garment awe-inspiring appearance. The simple reason for this fabric preference is that while the brands provide the style quotient. The distinctive crepe surface can be the result of tight weaving, twisting or knotting the fibers prior to weaving, using irregular patterns during the weaving process or by embossing a finished fabric with rollers engraved with a crepe pattern.

Georgette

Chiffon
Chiffon is made from silk. Under a magnifying glass it resembles a fine net or mesh which gives chiffon some see through properties. Chiffon can be dyed to almost any shade. It is an elegant, sheer fabric with a soft, beautiful drape and crepe like texture. Chiffon is most commonly used in evening wear, especially as an overlay, for giving an elegant and floating appearance to the gown. It is also a popular fabric used in blouses, ribbons, scarves and lingerie. Like other crêpe fabrics, chiffon can be difficult to work with because of its light and slippery texture.

Satin
Satin is a weave that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back. The satin weave is characterized by four or more cool fill or weft yarns floating over a warp yarn or vice versa, four warp yarns floating over a single weft yarn. These floats explain the even sheen, as unlike in other weaves, the light reflecting is not scattered as much by the fibers, which have fewer tucks. Satin is usually a warp faced weaving technique in which warp yarns are "floated" over weft yarns, although there are also weft faced satins. If a fabric is formed with a satin weave using filament fibers such as silk.

Habutai Silk

Cotton Silk
Cotton and silk can be combined to make a hybrid fabric. It is usually made as a primarily cotton blend. It is lightweight, absorbent and soft, though not as smooth as silk. The elasticity and feel of the fabric depends largely on the percentages used of each. Cotton blends come in all types of clothing, furniture coverings and linens. The cotton silk hybrids of fabrics have been developed, combining their attributes to make clothing more comfortable, convenient and affordable.

Organza
Organza is a plain weave that is created using nylon, polyester, and silk or a blend of any of the three. The loose weave of the filaments allows the production to result in sections of cloth that are translucent in nature. A slightly looser variation on the weave will result in sheer looking fabric. Chinese organza is still often made completely from silk filaments. Italian and French versions are generally sturdier and often include nylon filaments as a blend with the silk. Fabric produced in India and the United States often uses a mixture of nylon and polyester to create usable organza that is both cost effective and smooth to the touch.

Dupioni Silk
Dupioni (also referred to as Douppioni or Dupion) is a plain weave crisp type of silk fabric, produced by using fine thread and uneven thread reeled from two or more entangled cocoons. This creates tightly woven yardage with a highly lustrous surface. Silk Dupioni has an advantage over some other types of silks, in that it tends to resist wrinkles, which helps to enhance the usability of the finished fabric. In addition, it also has a tendency to take creases very well, which can give the final product a crisp and formal appearance.

Net
Net or netting is any textiles in which the yarns are fused, looped or knotted at their intersections, resulting in a fabric with open spaces between the yarns. Net has many uses, and come in different varieties. Depending on the type of yarn or filament that is used to make up the textile, its characteristics can vary from durable to not durable.

Twill Silk
Twill is a type of textile weave with a pattern of diagonal parallel ribs (in contrast with a satin and plain weave). This is done by passing the weft thread over one or more warp threads and then under two or more warp threads and so on, with a "step" or offset between rows to create the characteristic diagonal pattern. Because of this structure, twills generally drape well.

Velvet
Velvet is a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed, with a short dense pile, giving it a distinctive feel. By extension, the word velvety means "smooth like velvet." Velvet can be made from either synthetic or natural fibers.
